At The Wood Reserve, every custom project begins with a conversation. Sometimes that conversation is about dimensions, wood species, or finish colors. Recently, we had the privilege of creating a completely custom bedroom suite for a customer whose vision was inspired by her grandmother's furniture. While the overall design was tailored to fit her home and lifestyle, one detail mattered more than any other: the dresser hardware.

She wanted the hardware on her new dresser to match the hardware on her grandmother's dresser.

To many people, that might seem like a small request. To us, it was an opportunity to preserve a family connection.

For this project, we spent time researching and sourcing hardware that closely matched the original. Finding the right style wasn't simply a design decision—it was about honoring a piece of family history.

Each piece was handcrafted from premium hardwoods using heirloom-quality joinery and finished with rich, hand-applied stains that highlight the natural beauty of the wood. Every board, every drawer, and every finish was completed with the same level of care that goes into all of our handcrafted furniture.

The result was a bedroom suite that blended timeless craftsmanship with personal history.

One of our favorite moments came after the furniture arrived.

Our customer was so excited to receive her new bedroom suite that she sent us photos during the delivery process. Before the furniture was even fully in place, she wanted to share the excitement.

Those moments remind us why we love what we do.
