What's Hot for Weddings in 2017?

One of our favorite things about running The Wood Reserve is having the chance to be a part of the incredible wedding industry. We love the way that a million different tastes and styles can all come together in their own unique ways to create an event that's so exquisite and unforgettable.

No matter what feel you're going for, however, there's always certain trends that are sure to pop up more than once. We've taken a look at some of our favorite wedding blogs and have found that the following suggestions are some of the biggest hits for 2017!

1. Circular Ceremonies are In!

While there will always be room for traditional church pews and seating in rows at weddings, circular seating for your ceremony is going to be a hit this season!

Is there anything more intimate than feeling surrounded by your closest family and friends as you commit yourself to the love of your life? Not only will the emotion of the moment feel more palpable, but your guests are sure to appreciate the close-up vantage point as you exchange your carefully written vows.

2. Bite Into the "Almost" Naked Cake!

While fondant and buttercream are absolutely divine, some couples just want a little less when it comes to their wedding cake. Let's face it - fondant usually tastes pretty terrible and sometimes the buttercream needed to achieve a certain look is just way too much.

Naked cakes are a gorgeous alternative that still let you have a beautiful cake to cut without all the sweetness added on. These confectionary masterpieces even play into the rustic, simple look that so many brides are hoping for nowadays.

There's no denying that sit-down dinners are elegant and sophisticated, but in recent years, wedding parties are starting to find them a little bit boring. Go out on a limb and choose something completely unique to tickle your guests' taste buds.
